What is your "One Thing?"
In his final message in the One Thing series, Pastor Bill challenges us to consider what we are most passionate about, and to honestly determine if that driving passion is really about loving, worshiping and serving God. Psalm 27:4 says, "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life..." So King David's "one thing" was to continually be in God's presence.
Perhaps a key question we must ask ourselves is "what things, habits, or thoughts do I need to get rid of to make more room for Jesus?" The other day I cleaned out a room at the church we are going to use to store files. Once the clean out was done, not only did I make room for something really important, but I found some things I have been seeking for months. I probably would have never found those items had I not gotten rid of all the stuff we did not need. Is serving Jesus really your "One Thing?" If not, what needs to happen so it can be? What needs to go away so there will be more room for Him? May the Lord bless you!
