What does it mean to walk with God? Is that even possible today? Is so, what would that look like today? How is our relationship with God supposed to look like today?
Because of sin, we are separated from God – not walking with God. However, when we come to know, believe, and commit our lives to Jesus Christ, God cleanses us of all our sins and we are no longer separated from Him. We then become a member of His family and, as His child (Rom 8:17), begin to walk with Him.
The prophet Micah told God’s people: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of You? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” Micah 6:8. Scripture says, “Enoch walked with God” Genesis 5:22.
In this sermon series entitled, “Walking With God,” we will see, not only that it is possible to walk with God, but that God wants to walk with us and talk with us. Every moment of every day, God is desiring to walk with you and talk with you. The Bible is a book of examples of what it looks like to walk with God, so each week we will look through Scripture to see what our walk with God can look like today.
